Educational support programme for pupils in serious difficulties

The Graines de Joie association aims to provide support and assistance for children in distress. These initiatives are carried out in collaboration with local organisations. It conducts its projects in Marseille, as well as in Brazil, Burkina Faso and Romania. The current project, in partnership with the Air France Foundation since 2019, aims to combat early school leaving. Most early school leavers have experienced major difficulties in learning to read and write from primary school. This “learn to learn” project consists of providing educational support and raising children’s awareness of the sustainable development theme. It also provides tablets to children to offer them digital education, with the aim of fostering equal opportunities for the future. The goals also include learning about environmentally friendly behaviours, and driving and adopting habits to help protect the environment.
