Introducing young people in Loire-Atlantique to digital

BECOMTECH introduces girls to digital professions and grows a community of Female Ambassadors taking key positions in the places, professions and tools that are shaping tomorrow’s world. BECOMTECH currently runs two programmes: JUMP IN TECH and BECOMTECH AMBASSADORS for young girls aged 14 and over in three regions: Ile-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône Alpes and Pays de la Loire. Women are underrepresented in IT and digital professions. The project supported by the Air France Foundation since 2021 involves rolling out the two programmes in the Loire-Atlantique department. Girls are introduced to computer science and educated about the importance of gender diversity in the digital sector. This takes place through computer programming and digital communication workshops over four intensive weeks. These young girls then join the AMBASSADORS programme, which supports their commitment to gender diversity in digital, their upskilling and the development of their leadership.
