Project description
VISAGE II is the continuation of a very successful project for the benefit of the children, young people, the institution and the professionals involved.
The Uerê-Mello approach is based on 3 pillars: education, culture and sport. The children supported live in extreme poverty and social exclusion, and suffer multiple traumas linked to the ultra-violent environment in which they grow up. This leads to cognitive and learning difficulties.
As a result, literacy classes are dedicated to children who are behind at school, art classes are being held for the 3rd time and football is a particular attraction for growing boys and girls. This pedagogy is based on the conviction that children's intelligence and emotions remain intact despite the various forms of trauma they have suffered. It aims to develop critical thinking skills and an openness to the world in the pupils who attend.
