From April 8 to 11, the Air France Foundation, joined by a dedicated Air France crew and ambassadors of the Foundation, travelled to Madagascar to visit local associations that benefited from the 2024 donation campaign.
Organized for the first time in partnership with the Groupe ADP Foundation, this multi-site initiative collected 12 tons of supplies, transported by Air France Cargo.
Alongside the regional Air France delegation and Christophe Boucher, EVP of Air France Cargo, the team visited several associations supported by the Foundation: Génération Mada(1), Aïna Enfance & Avenir(2), and Les Paulins Orphanage, backed by Graines de Joie(3).
The visits were filled with moving and meaningful moments, highlighting the incredible work of local teams and the concrete impact of the donations and projects funded by the Foundation.
Térésa, a former beneficiary who is now a teacher, said:
“You’ve transformed our school life, and sometimes even our future. […] Thanks to you, hundreds of children in Madagascar have discovered the opportunities education can offer.”
Sandra, welcomed as a child by Aïna, added:
“I’ve known the Foundation since I was 8, when I first arrived at the center. I got my BEPC, then my high school diploma, and now I have a bachelor’s degree. […] The Air France Foundation has supported us throughout our journey. It’s always been there for us.”
The mission ended with the creation of a mural by Seth, artist and Foundation board member, representing the hopes and dreams of the children.
The artwork perfectly sums up the spirit of the mission and the emotions shared by everyone involved.
