Financing equipment for a special school for autistic children in Cienfuegos.
Founded in 1995, Cuba Cooperation aims to develop and strengthen cultural scientific, educational, economic and technical cooperation between France and Cuba. The funding provided by the Air France Foundation, which includes equipment and furniture specifically designed to meet the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, will enable the Vilma Espin school to offer a wide range of activities and provide better treatment and care for this young population. The project will help to improve the quality of life of these young people with disabilities, by providing them with comprehensive care that promotes greater social integration. There are many objectives to be achieved. These include – creating the conditions for facilitating their social integration into the community, developing proposals for counselling and support, training family members so that they can take on educational responsibilities, supporting the learning process and reintegrating children into mainstream education.
