Creation of a community cookery school in Antananarivo 40 000€

The Aïna association works to help underprivileged children. At its reception centre it provides a stable emotional, educational and medical environment to deprived children without a father and/or mother and tracks children until they become independent. The vocational training system in Madagascar also suffers from significant shortcomings. This project supported by the Air France Foundation since 2008 aims to construct a community cookery school that would both offer skills training in accordance with international standards and achieve an innovative project aimed at offering young people long-term prospects. The school will fully fund training for 50 learners aged 17 to 21. The association ensures that the trainers are qualified and fosters close collaboration with professionals from the sector to ensure the quality of education.

Enhancement of sports equipment capabilities and improvement of sanitation facilities at the Aina reception centre (Antananarivo) 10 000€

Thanks to the support of the Air France Foundation since 2008, the Aïna association is stepping up its sport equipment offers with the purchase of bikes, basketball hoops and football goals. At the same time, it is improving hygiene conditions by constructing sanitation facilities and showers adjoining the building.

More broadly, the association is working to help underprivileged children in Madagascar. At its reception centre it provides a stable emotional, educational and medical environment to deprived children without a father and/or mother. It provides training to very young mothers to help them become independent and enables their children to attend a community nursery school. Once older, the young people are also assisted by the Maison des Jeunes (MDJ) in becoming independent.
