Reading in-depth learning programme for children in difficulties in the province of Tucuman (North West)
The Fundación Leer aims to develop literacy programmes. It trains and supports the educational teams and provides equipment and new books to enrich literary environments in both school and extracurricular settings. The “Reading Helps” programme, supported by the Air France Foundation since 2009, is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 who have major difficulties learning to read. This programme offers them the opportunity to fill this gap and avoid repeating a year and early school leaving. “Reading Helps” also includes online training aimed at 44 teachers in three schools and the provision in classrooms of books and educational games created by the association.
