Complete renovation of the Saint-Joseph secondary school in Antsirabe

Planète Cœur is a charity that provides humanitarian aid for people in need while developing bonds of friendship and cooperation with them. It has an active role in the development of schools in Haiti and Madagascar. The association also supports young girls who are victims of abuse in the Philippines. In France, it supports « les restos du Cœur » and « Secours Catholique ». Saint Joseph secondary school has 2,400 pupils. Subjects are taught in French. Eight classrooms in a dilapidated state have been unoccupied since 2010. Thanks to the Air France endowment fund, an additional 300 pupils will be enrolled each year once the premises have been refurbished. The school gives many street children access to education and allows girls to enter the world of work and become independent. The majority of Malagasy children drop out of school at a very young age. The quality of the education, infrastructure and sports facilities at the school motivate the pupils to continue studying up to high school level. The current project is financed by funds raised through an appeal for donations from employees and bluelink following cyclone Freddy.
