Air France and Delta at the cutting edge of technology
By focusing on personalized services and optimum comfort, Air France is constantly seeking to offer new technological solutions aimed at improving its customers’ travel experience. Its latest innovation is the customer service chatbots that analyze customers’ questions about baggage issues thanks to artificial intelligence and automatic transmission of travel documents on Facebook Messenger. Younger travelers haven’t been forgotten either, with Air France rolling out the latest-generation technologies – a digital pouch now accompanies each child throughout their trip. Parents can thus track the different stages of their children’s trip, on smartphone via the Air France app. During their flight, customers enjoy over 1,200 hours of on-demand programming and Wi-Fi access on board the Boeing 787. With its latest-generation aircraft, Air France offers each customer a unique travel experience thanks to cutting-edge technology.
Delta is leading the U.S. industry when it comes to investing in the latest technology. On board, customers enjoy more than 3,000 hours of on-demand in-flight entertainment at every seat, as well as access to Wi-Fi on more than 1,000 aircraft. The airline is the first to invest in RFID technology, to enable customers to keep track their bags throughout their journey via push notifications to the Fly Delta App. Meanwhile, on the ground Delta is trialing biometric technology to help make check-in, bag drop and security procedures more efficient at its U.S. hubs.
