  • Recognized for Best First-Class Lounge Dining and Best First-Class Comfort Amenities
  • Ranked 8th Best Airline in the World (9th in 2024)

On June 17, 2025, during the International Paris Air Show held at Le Bourget (France), the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards ceremony recognized Air France on multiple occasions.

For the fifth consecutive year, Air France has been named Best Airline in Western Europe. The airline also took first place in two categories related to its La Première offering: Best First Class Lounge Dining and Best First Class Comfort Amenities. Air France continues to rise in the global ranking, moving up one spot compared to 2024, from 9th to 8th place.

“We continue to invest heavily in enhancing the experience of our customers across all our travel cabins. These prestigious awards recognize that effort and the commitment of all our teams, both on the ground and in the air. They inspire us to go even further in showcasing the French art of travel around the world,” said Fabien Pelous, SVP Customer Experience at Air France. “I would like to thank all our customers for their trust and loyalty.”

La Première: The Highest Expression of Travel

In 2025, Air France unveiled its completely redesigned La Première experience. From the moment La Première guests arrive at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, they enjoy a fully private and confidential airport journey. Within the dedicated La Première lounge, now featuring individual suites, gastronomy takes center stage, with a menu and wine & champagne list crafted by Alain Ducasse and his team. Highlights include the chef’s famous black truffle and ham pasta, and the rum or Armagnac baba reminiscent of Monte-Carlo.

Progressively rolled out on a selection of Boeing 777-300 aircraft, the new La Première suite spans five windows and offers a unique, fully modular design. It features both an armchair and a chaise longue that together transform into a real bed. The armchair adapts to every stage of the flight—takeoff, landing, dining, or relaxing. Fitted with soft ergonomic memory foam, it conforms perfectly to each passenger’s body for optimal comfort. In front of the seat, the chaise longue allows guests to rest in any position, ideal for stretching out while seated to read or watch a film. For restful sleep at 35,000 feet, the chaise longue extends into a fully flat two-meter-long bed. Each of the four suites is enclosed by a thick mesh curtain, providing floor-to-ceiling privacy and a cocoon-like ambiance.

During the flight, Air France presents La Première guests with an elegant amenity kit, available in the two signature colors of the La Première universe—pearl gray and red—embossed with the airline’s winged seahorse emblem. Featuring fine finishes, the case is a true leather accessory. For this exclusive kit, Air France has partnered with French skincare brand Sisley to offer a refined in-flight beauty moment. The case includes a selection of four products carefully chosen by the pioneering phyto-cosmetology house for their hydrating properties.

With its spacious airport lounge, private onboard suite, three-star cuisine, expertly curated wine and champagne list, and peaceful nights at 35,000 feet, every aspect of the La Première journey is elevated to turn travel into an unforgettable experience.
