• Air France’s first citizen solidarity days took place on 23 and 30 January 2018
• 1,000 staff members gave their time to different associations on two separate days
• 61 assignments in six areas of activity
• 43 assignments in the Paris region and 9 in the French provinces.

On 23 and 30 January 2018, Air France launched its first citizen solidarity days, called " Better Together ". 1,000 company employees, all from different sectors of the company, got together for one day, on their working time, to help associations in the Paris region and in 9 French provinces.

61 assignments were offered to staff, in 43 associations in the following fields: Supporting children in need, education, training, employment; disability and health; the fight against insecurity; the environment and intergenerational sharing. The assignments and associations were chosen in collaboration with the Air France Foundation, which is a partner of the event.

It is the human values of commitment, diversity and conviviality that Air France wanted to develop with these citizen solidarity days, associating solidarity and sharing to help associations, and strengthening cohesion and exchange between staff from across the company (ground staff and aircrew).

" With this first edition of " Better Together ", we are reaffirming Air France's societal commitment which is an integral part of our culture and Air France’s employee experience, human values that make up our company’s DNA " said Gilles Gateau, EVP Human Resources at Air France.

Following the success of these first two days, Air France is already working on organizing the second edition of " Better Together " in 2019 in order to offer even more assignments for a larger number of staff.
