Thank you for your donations for Morocco!

On 8 September 2023, Morocco suffered a magnitude 6.8 earthquake 71km from Marrakesh. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives and thousands more were injured, while infrastructure and housing were destroyed. The Air France Foundation quickly organized an internal call for donations.

Many contributed: Air France staff and retirees, as well as Transavia, Hop and Servair staff. A total of 22,300 euros in employee donations, matched by Air France, for a total of 44,600 euros, will be donated to the CARE International Humanitarian Solidarity Association. Since the earthquake, the association's actions have been organised around sequenced interventions: meeting the basic needs of the affected populations: health, shelter, food aid, distribution of hygiene kits, in particular to meet the essential needs of women and girls. The current focus is on restoring access to essential services for people in vulnerable physical and/or psychological situations, in partnership with Médecins du Monde. Depending on the needs identified, this support takes the form of individual listening and discussion sessions, as well as group sessions. For teenagers and children, discussion groups and art therapy are organised to deal with traumatic experiences. They will continue, thanks in part to you.
