From Friday, January 30 to Sunday, February 1, 2026, Air France participated in the 34th edition of the Aviation Training and Careers Fair, a key event in France dedicated to career guidance, training, and recruitment within the aviation sector.

A Fair Dedicated to Exchange and Discovery

Over three days, visitors, including young aviation enthusiasts, families, students, teachers, people seeking a career change, and many others, explored the aisles of the “mini Paris Air Show” at the Air and Space Museum in Le Bourget. At the Air France booth, around thirty employees from representing aircraft maintenance, pilots, and cabin crew were on hand to welcome the approximately 2,000 visitors and share their passion and experiences. This commitment is essential to passing on knowledge and highlighting the wide range of careers available within the company.

During a roundtable focused on airlines’ recruitment needs, Valérie Gary, Air France Employer Brand and Schools Relations Manager, presented the company’s professions and hiring prospects. Her speech also emphasized the importance of diversity and inclusion in the sector: "Air France offers a wide variety of careers, open to everyone, and values both technical and interpersonal skills. One of our ambitions is to break down stereotypes and show that anyone can thrive in aeronautics, regardless of their background or gender. Increasing the number of women in our professions remains a priority, especially in fields such as piloting and aircraft maintenance. I encourage everyone to take the plunge and explore all the exciting opportunities our sector has to offer."

Recruitment and Guidance: A Wealth of Opportunities

Visitors were also able to meet recruiters in person, making the hiring process more streamlined and promoting the various career opportunities available. This approach shed light on the many openings in aircraft maintenance, particularly for aircraft technicians, engine mechanics, and airframe mechanics. Additionally, many candidates benefited from personalized advice to strengthen their applications, including explanations of key recruitment steps, recommendations on how to highlight their background, and detailed information on available opportunities.

Whether for apprenticeships, internships, or long-term positions, Air France is actively recruiting and plans to hire over 1,500 people this year, including nearly 800 on permanent contracts. At the same time, the aircraft maintenance sector is also expecting to hire over 500 new employees this year.

This edition of the Aviation Training & Careers Fair once again illustrates Air France’s commitment, alongside partners Aérométiers and AFMAÉ, to promote its professions, inspire new vocations, and support the talents of tomorrow.
