Air France presents the first issue of EnVols magazine

Published on - May 25th, 2022 — Customer

EnVols, Air France’s new media platform and an invitation on a journey, today launches its new printed magazine. This new format takes a fresh look at travel, style, the arts and culture, and each issue explores a different theme. A cross between a travel diary and photo stories, the journey is at the heart of its inspirational and sophisticated editorial content. A journey, both in the geographical sense and symbolically, from the creative and sensory perspective.

This first issue is an invitation to embark on a journey to Eden, a natural utopian paradise. The magazine invites its readers on a quest to find the Quetzal, one of the world’s most beautiful and rarest birds, in Costa Rica, in a piece written by author Monica Sabolo. Then we take off to Brazil, for a unique tour of the Mata Atlântica, the second largest rainforest in the world. A Hellenic paradise is our next stop, in the form of a fashion photo shoot by Vincent van de Wijngaarde in Greece.

In a nod to the Cannes film festival of which Air France is a partner, EnVols also pays a visit to the French Riviera and its most legendary and exquisite places of interest. There’s the story of the Palme d’Or and an interview bringing together the two French actresses Adèle Exarchopoulos and Leila Bekhti for the first time.

Before taking off, compulsive traveller Nikos Aliagas reveals the contents of his 12kg cabin bag for readers. And as the icing on the cake at 30,000 feet, EnVols provides an overview of in-flight catering from the past to the present. The triple Michelin-starred chef Anne-Sophie Pic reveals the secrets of her menus that are adapted to the conditions of dining on board Air France.

And finally, to celebrate the company’s rich history and its legendary world maps created by Lucien Boucher in the 1950s, the artist Pierre Marie reinterprets a world map which highlights the enchanting world of aviation for EnVols. The magazine also includes numerous hotel and restaurant recommendations that are regularly added to the travel guide section of the en-vols.com website. On various pages, QR codes invite readers to discover complementary content accessible from the en-vols.com and airfrance.fr websites.

EnVols magazine is an entirely bilingual (French and English) bimonthly, with a print run of 150,000 copies. This first issue dated “June/July” is available today at newsstands in France for the price of 8 euros, via the Air France Play app and available free of charge at boarding and in the Air France lounges at Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. You can also visit the en-vols.com website to discover more content.

EnVols, a complete ecosystem

The digital version of EnVols is both a source of inspiration and a practical guide. It features a wide diversity of lifestyle and travel-related content (articles, photos, videos, podcasts) encompassing culture, fashion and gastronomy. Travel guides for more than 100 destinations include the editorial team’s top picks of must-see places. There is also a special focus on the latest company news and its vast heritage. In addition, EnVols magazine now offers in-depth reports on selected themes, inviting readers to take the time to read, reflect and discover. EnVols also comprises a newsletter and is present on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest.

To develop EnVols, Air France relies on the expertise of Reworld Media and Michelin Editions.
