On 14th March, the “Opportunities for all – the Games are recruiting” recruitment forum was held in Aubervilliers, at the initiative of the Seine-Saint-Denis DRIEETS (Regional Department for Economy, Employment, Labour and Solidarity), as France prepares for the world’s biggest sporting event in 2024.

This initiative, organized by the agency PHILEOG, fully supports the efforts to regenerate local neighbourhoods supported by SODESI (company specializing in developing employment opportunities in the service and industrial sectors), a wholly-owned Air France subsidiary working to stimulate the economy and enhance the attractiveness of local neighbourhoods where the company is present.

During the forum, 70 companies were spread out over five themed villages corresponding to the different job opportunities proposed in connection with the Games in sectors such as security, hotels and restaurants, cleaning and waste management, transport, logistics, energy, and sport and special events.

6 000 pre-registered visitors were prepped in advance by employment partners, i.e., DRIEETS, France Travail, local authorities, and the public employment service, and were able to submit applications for the 12,000 job vacancies received from participating companies.

A dual commitment – sustaining local communities by creating job opportunities and CSR policy

Through its subsidiary SODESI, Air France is fully committed to its mission of regenerating local neighbourhoods, and supports numerous initiatives aimed at developing employment opportunities for jobseekers, regardless of age, cultural background or level of experience.

Specializing in individual and collective support for professionals, SODESI, a 100%-owned subsidiary of Air France, operates by financing local initiatives likely to create jobs, with particular attention paid to small structures, associations and companies in the social/solidarity-based economy. It's Air France's main vector for action in this area.

In addition to regenerating local neighbourhoods, this commitment reflects Air France’s social societal and environmental policy. The company is setting up initiatives to help women, senior citizens, young people and individuals with a disability, and those without formal qualifications and at risk of not finding employment. SOEDSI has also set up a themed agreement on ecological transition to support projects that address current environmental challenges.

Through its various initiatives in eight targeted employment areas, SODESI has already subsidised close to 150 regeneration projects and helped more than 5,000 people find employment.
