Creation of a training restaurant for a cookery school in Sokone
The Skippy Club association participates in long-term projects aimed at young people in Senegal, more specifically in the south of the country. It also gives young people and teenagers in France the opportunity to get involved in field projects, thereby teaching them to put together international solidarity initiatives. These young people work for two years on developing a project aimed at helping other young people in Senegal. The current project, supported by the Air France Foundation since 2021, follows on from the creation of a cookery school in Sokone for use as a training restaurant and to provide instruction on all aspects of the restaurant trade. The work on fitting out the restaurant room, the purchase of furniture, the creation of a terrace and the purchase of cooking equipment enables the students to undertake high-quality apprenticeships in an appropriate environment.
